Horn of Glory

A horn that contains the bravery of fallen heroes

musical instrument

Once per day, the Horn of Glory may be sounded to cause foes to become shaken. Shaken foes receive a -2 penalty to attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks. The horn only affects hostile creatures in a 20 foot cone. The effect lasts for 2d4 rounds, and can be negated by a DC 20 will save.

This horn has been in the Silverblood family for 7 generations. It was crafted upon the return of Sir Religald Silverblood from war, slain while defending an outpost from attacking minotaurs. The horn was taken from one of his fallen foes, and fashioned into a memento for his son, Helobald. Legend has it that the blood of Sir Religald was mixed into the silver bands that encircle the horn, and that his spirit is what allows it to instill fear in the foes of the wielder.

The horn passed to Lady Alinna Silverblood upon the murder of her family. She in turn passed the Horn on to Zephus Evensun, a young paladin of Torm, in return for safeguarding her life in an assassination attempt.
